All I can say is, during my first play-through with Thag, that never seemed to come up. Only during the second time around, with my Breton mage/thief. (Skipped the main quest and only did the content I hadn't seen before.)

Leaving aside the wife and her... hobbies, I'd say that Terentius of Bravil has Caro beat out in the "giant prick" category.
