Post-Christmas Report
Saturday morning was the last of my Christmas shopping. Saturday evening was spent with friends, enjoying chili and Serenity. I got a gift card (
pjack and
naudiz) and some very tasty grape juice (
kireishojo).
Sunday did not start off well; sometime around 2 a.m., my net cut out. (It was not restored until Monday afternoon, when I got the building manager to reboot the router.) Thus, I was without net for all of Christmas Day and most of my day off. Oh well. I used the opportunity to clean and get caught up on GTA San Andreas, which I'd neglected for over half a year because I wanted to take all of the photographs at once. Which I did, last night.
Back to Sunday: the family gathered at my mother's house, as usual. There were lots and lots of presents, especially for my niece and nephew. My personal swag consisted of a DVD burner, a toaster (which will likely be returned, with the understanding of the giver, as I already have one), various gift cards (Staples, Trader Joe's, JC Penneys, Gamestop, Safeway), this year's ceramic ornaments, and a stocking fulla candy. Then my brother Travis and I went to visit my father at the nursing home; the kids were acting up, not having slept around 5 a.m., so we didn't stay long. I occupied myself for the rest of the evening with GTA, the grape juice, and snackage.
Rose late (around noon) today and finally got out to Staples around 2, where I picked up some blank DVDs and some more double-CD cases. Spent the afternoon and evening getting caught up on-line, playing a little City of Villains (with mixed results), and so forth. I'll be trying out my burner shortly.
Guess I made it.
