My boss just offered to let me go home early to be there when Midnight (Puzzle Pirates) opens. Have I mentioned lately that he's really cool? (Plus, at the moment, he's apparently exhausted from spending the weekend with a pack of ten-year-olds, and would be just as happy to close the door and take a nap.)

Alas, I can't - for one thing, I've an obligation to answer phones here while the other secretaries are at lunch; and second, I have some work left over from last week that piled up while I was being a little flaky, and I really do feel I should get that taken care of. So I'll just have to wait until my usual 3 p.m. ("Aww," I hear you say in mock pity.)
