Christmas 2003
Dec. 25th, 2003 07:39 pmIt was grand, and family played a very large part in making it so.
(as promised, here's more)
Probably the defining experience this year was reflecting on how different (not better/worse, just different) "Christmas" is as an adult than when I was a kid ... driving over to my brother's house to be with his family, etc. And that when his son and daughter, my niece and nephew, are a little older, this will be what they get their first memories of Christmas from...
I managed to get all of my shopping done in two long days and then had a day or two to relax and recover. I got myself some things too, like some new pants (Dockers) and the Tarot deck by Robin Wood, which I've had my eye on for a while. All my gifts this year were much appreciated (even the ones my PC got in the Hogwarts game ;). And I've been good and not loaded up on post-Christmas candy.
