Not the best way to start the week

I forgot to re-set my alarm this morning/last night after the weekend, so I woke up almost an hour late, and was late to work by a similar amount. Fortunately(!), my boss did not mind; he got in late himself for other reasons, and the work load was very light. The receptionist and one of the attorneys have already left for the holidays, so there's just four of us - two attorneys and their secretaries.

I'll be doing the bulk of my Christmas shopping tomorrow, having finally settled on what to get everyone. Still, as one of my brothers put it in an email, "As long as there's at least one day left, it's not too late."
