Damn kids

This is new. Right on the stroke of midnight, as soon as it was officially the 4th, the partiers in the building on the other side of the alley/parking lot started setting off LOUD fireworks. Most years, the celebration starts after sundown and goes until midnight at the very latest. But not this time, no. They've been partying all night and now they start with the noisemakers.

I know it's wrong to wish for a drunken accident, but it's probably my only hope of getting to bed before 2 a.m.
