As any decent storyteller can tell you, part of the problem with a Deus Ex Machina is getting the god back into the box after they've performed whatever task you needed them for.

Freak the hell out, because something or someone is handing out magical transformations, rewriting my past so I was born with different chromosomes, or whatever the exact Clarke-level mechanism is involved, and there's no telling what might happen next - literally anything, as the normal rules as I understand them no longer apply. Further, I have no reason to assume that this force or entity bears me any goodwill, as it has already demonstrated it doesn't really care about stuff like "prior knowledge and consent". I may next find myself an unperson, a Faerie slave for a hundred years, a mouse, a fish, or simply dead, for no/any reason.

(what, too serious an answer for a silly quiz? yeah, I do that sometimes.)

(I swear, I saw this after I had the previous thought/post.)
