*grumble grumble* I have this dislike of all things Pooh. I was just sitting here, reading the posting before I gathered myself off to bed, and realized as I read yours that I was having feelings of mild annoyance. I analyzed this and decided it was the Pooh thing. Then, I tried to trace back to figure out why Winnie the Pooh makes me clench my teeth. I can trace my most memorable encounter with Pooh to a live play that was put on when I was very small. I must have been in kindergarten. Anyhow, they invited people up on stage to dance around with the characters and I remember being a very tiny person standing next to an overgrown 12' bear with a child-eating gring plastered onto its face. Arghhh! The pain! I'm traumatized. I think I need therapy. Everybody loves Pooh but me, but I'm really okay with that. I'm an individual. Thank you, My Lord, for helping me work that through.
Even as a kid I disliked the disney Pooh. If I had known the word "incipid" I would have applied it. I still love Milne's version and much of his poetry.
