cmdr_zoomThe final straw was when he got up to go to the bathroom and then couldn't be bothered to actually return to bed, but simply curled up on the floor. So I called my brother Travis and we got him down to the hospital and checked in for some tests and an overnight stay. Check his medication levels, change his oil, the usual.
If I sound flippant about my father's health, it's because this really is an almost regular occurrence. We did find out he's running a slight fever, which is what laid him low the last time (along with skipping his meds); he must have picked up an infection somehow. We'll go see him tomorrow and he'll be back home in a day or two. Full insurance, so no worries there.
