A thought I've had now and then since Buffy was on the air, and now again after reviewing some clips from Space 1999 (which I loved as a kid):

Juliet Landau is very attractive, and yet, she's exactly the kind of attractive that one would expect from Martin Landau and Barbara Bain's kid: "my parents were faeries/space aliens."

Similarly, I would not be at all surprised if Benedict Cumberbatch* or Natalie Dormer had such unearthly parentage.

*I have seen Wanda Ventham in some stuff, including the Doctor Who episode where she became the Fendahl core, so that part definitely supports such a theory -- I have yet to see any of Timothy Carlton's resume.
