The latest I was seeing is probably not the end of the world. It's scary AF, and may kill a lot of the more vulnerable to infection, but it's sounding like the person to person R number wasn't as scary as they thought.

Yes, take precautions, but they are currently hoping it won't be as bad as SARS. That could change, yes, but too early to panic if you don' live in central China.

For the record, CDC response in Seattle looks to have been excellent.

Yes, people will die, quite possibly a lot of people, but I'm not betting on this one to take out civilization unless it mutates dramatically, and you know 1. I watch these things pretty closely, and 2. Odds are I die if it takes hold in my city.
