Change in the weather

cmdr_zoomIt's actually almost sunny and warm out this morning, though I'd still want a jacket.
My mother came by last night, unexpectedly, to invite me to dinner. We went to a place down by campus that I've passed by many time, the Excelsior Inn; it was relatively empty on a Sunday night, which was good considering our general state of slovenliness. We both had the penne pasta with mushrooms and sausage, with a topped foccacia appetizer. We talked of many things, including nothing at all, but mostly we reconnected as friends as well as mother and son. (That's always been what she wanted for us boys; being so much like her is often an advantage, but sometimes the opposite.)
All of this and some good time playing City of Heroes (two great Task Force teams, different characters) ... yeah, I'd say it was a good weekend.
