Groovin' to the Oldies

So I'm listening to my music at work - stuff like Journey, Madonna, John Parr's St. Elmo's Fire, along with movie and game soundtracks - and it occurs to me that most of the students I'm sending letters to weren't born yet when these came out.

I had a similar feeling when I was working at a classic rock station... much of the playlist dated from before I was born.

I used to get some odd looks from listeners at events, too, like "that KID is our DJ? gasp!"
