Convenience
Mar. 15th, 2008 01:54 pmI've always been glad I was born in a zero year (1970), just because it makes calculating my age in any subsequent year dead simple.
Similarly, I like being so ethnically "pure" - not because it makes me any better than anyone else, but because with family names like Kelly, Stafford, MacDonald and St. Clair (or Sinclair), figuring out what part of the world my ancestors came from is easy. (As if the skin that freckles on cloudy days and burns on hot ones wasn't enough of a clue.)
