I'm warm and dry and have food in the house, so all is good.

I really miss snow days, ever since spending part of my growing-up in upstate New York, where the first snowfall was usually before Thanksgiving and there were -31 degree Christmas mornings. I'm always tickled when Portland gets snow, and the last two times it's happened I've been in Iraq.

But all hope is not lost, we had snow in Iraq last year.

I really didn't... I was just thinking of the whole seasonal thing that proper haiku are supposed to have.
