It bothers me when the developers/writers of a game add something to the "canon" which, if not simply ignored, requires acceptance of at least one of the following premises:

1. Your character(s), along with most of the other people in the world, is/are stupid;
2. You, the player, are stupid;
3. The game world as presented is stupid (illogical, inconsistent, and unbelievable).

My rage grumbling, let me show you it.

He's referring to how in City of Heroes, the in-game explanation for the VR based mission simulator is that one of the more noteworthy mad scientists in the world designed it, and somehow despite having a nefarious scheming bastard at the helm it got approved for use in the middle of the good-natured Paragon City.

So it's the City of Townsville. This surprises you?

I'm just a bit non-plussed at the fact that a city containing 2,184,887,082,176,748 superheroes still has a crime problem.
