Well, Carrie is not a tall woman at all (I think she's about 5' - 5'2"?), and Hamill isn't particularly tall. But with Prowse at 6'6" and Mayhew at 7'2", it's really skewing the perceptions, even with Kenny Baker there to provide something at the opposite end of the spectrum. If Carrie looks tiny, Baker looks impossibly small.
