In addition to the Chuck Jones classic referenced by the title of this WB entry, I'll always have a warm soft spot for the Rankin-Bass specials (both stop-motion and cel animation).

Thurl Ravenscroft? The original animation you mention featured the dulcet tones of none other than Boris Karloff; that wasn't Tony the Tiger singing.

I confess to now no longer being able to stand Rudolph because of the obvious message lurking within it.
