Today's idle observation:

There are certain stories (movies, novels, fanfic), too many to list here, that provide a pretty good litmus test of where the author and/or audience fall(s) on the question of whether Humans Are Bastards.

I would go so far as to say a majority of stories reveal that information about their author.
