And they lived happily ever after
Oct. 1st, 2012 09:04 amI'm sad to see the Girl Who Waited and the Lone Centurion go, more than the other recent companions I think; possibly because they were both so good for him, and each strong and heroic (and very caring) in their own way, and possibly because we know how their story ends. But it ends well, by all accounts, and they were together - as they always were meant to and eventually managed to be, though heaven and earth and time and space often had to be moved (and wrestled, and twisted into pretzels) to make it so.
And it's good too that we know he's getting someone else right off, because if there's one theme of the revival, it's that the Doctor should not be allowed to travel alone. Because he goes to some very dark and scary places.
