Opening and unpacking the box of a SPACE:1999 RPG, including a tactical "boardgame" (cardboard counters and paper maps, though of course the Eagles got proper miniatures) for playing out scenarios from the series as well as creating new ones/handling PC combats. Set in the year 11 or 12 (which I first assumed to start counting from Breakaway, which would put it roughly in the present, though I now think it might be from Capture; see next), Luna has settled into orbit around another body, becoming a proper Moon again. The people of Alpha, who may well be the last survivors of the human race (or at least the only ones in the vicinity), must deal with unknown dangers as well as internal crises. The tone, from what I recall of the background and adventure material, was mostly serious - a mix of 1999 with new BSG, and maybe just a hint of original BSG (that 70s TV SF wackiness shining through).

We had the action figures when I was little. Dolls? They were alot bigger than the star wars ones, but like half size to the Barbies. I have no seen that show since it went off the air, but we watched every single one as they aired.

I watched the show (though much of it went right over my head, at my single-digit age) and had an Eagle. It was HUGE, and my favorite toy for a long time.

Totally.
We (me and my brothers) didn't get any of the Star Wars ships, just the figures, but we did get an Eagle. And that thing was big, like two feet easy, maybe three if my memory can be trusted. Pretty sturdy, too.

My not cousins had all these Star Wars ships and play sets. We had a land speeder and the we little Star wars people to go in (core cast only). We also had a Barbie sized Luke (me) and Leia (my sister).

Seriously, that Eagle sounds amazing!

You know, I remember that box. I have a vague memory of ogling it, but it being too expensive so we got those half size dolls instead.
