I'm with John Scalzi on this; Disney may be a soul sucking evil corporation, but they a: know how to entertain people, and b: how to make money.
Right now, I bet there are people hard at work at Disney figuring out how to set it up to be as successful as the Marvel movies have been. I'll grant that they're not great cinema, but they are fun, which is something Episodes I-III certainly weren't IMO.
