I had a long talk last night with a friend about some issues we've been having lately, and we agreed to make some changes that (I hope) will allow us to get along with less friction and unmet expectations on both sides. So that's good. And I finally got my new ATM card today. Plus, I did my taxes last night and mailed them out this morning. Go me.
Speaking of money, though - I'm still adjusting to living on my own again and keeping a budget. Living with my father for two years kind of spoiled me in that regard. Today I had to pull another $100 out of savings to cover the rest of the month. Oh, well - that's why I put the money away when I had it, right? So that it would be there when I needed it?
The refunds I'm expecting (nearly $400 between state and federal) will help some, but I really need to start living within my means before I completely exhaust my safety margin. At least I'll be able to get a clearer picture of my monthly expenses now that all the stuff associated with moving has been paid. (That $90 that Wells Fargo hit me for in overdraft fees didn't help either...)
I guess that mood line should be "cautiously optimistic."
