The gods are bowling
Aug. 5th, 2003 10:25 amI was woken at 5:20 this morning by a tremendous crash. It wasn't the last. I've never been so close to a thunderstorm; it sounded like it was right overhead. flashTHAKOOM, followed by the pealing of car alarms.
The shelling lasted for about a half hour, accompanied by pouring rain. Toward the end, I noticed that the power had gone out. It was back by this morning, though. And I'm darn glad I took the opportunity when I first awoke to shut down my computer, which I'd left on for an all-night download.
