One line from a review/synopsis of Matrix Revolutions (no spoiler, if you've seen any of the trailers):

"Neo and Smith reenact an episode of Dragonball Z."

Bed now.

I was seriously wondering, at that point, if they just hadn't been able to make those renders at anything like a normal perspective for a fight sequence.

I should not have been wondering technical details. I should have been suspending my disbelief and enjoying the hell out of it. And I couldn't, which was most of why that movie failed for me.

I think part of the point is that this WAS 'normal perspective' for a battle of gods (in human form).

I dunno, I just dig the line, and the seriously wrong images it evokes.

I came up with a much better (and shorter) ending on the ride home from the movie. Mine also would have been a seriously cool special effect with A. More interesting iconography B. More interesting meanings and implications.
