One month ago today, I was informed that my ATM/debit card had expired (by the ATM refusing to give me money or let me have it back). This was quite a surprise to me, since I only opened the account in April, and six months seems a little short for a card to expire. When I went to reclaim it the next Monday, I was told that there'd been some sort of error, but the card was indeed expired and they'd send me a new one.

Today, I stopped at the bank on my way into work to withdraw $20 for lunch money (something I'd usually do by ATM, but - ha!). The teller noted the issue on her terminal and asked me about it; I just wanted my cash, so I gave her my work number so she could call me later. Which she did - to inform me that the order of a new card had somehow not actually been placed, and that I would have to wait an additional seven to ten business days, yadda yadda.

Agh.

You need to get a new bank, especially considering the overdraw debacle.

I DID get a new bank. Oregon Community Credit Union (formerly U-Lane-O) has been quite good to me except on this one issue, actually. I can only imagine what I would have had to go through with Wells Fargo...
