Today, I saw first grade boys "dick measuring" with numbers of AR (book points) earned. Boys will use anything as an excuse to "compensate."

It didn't help that I spent all day asking kids, "Do you have your bone?" "Would you like a sticker for your bone?" "Is this your bone?" (Library cards are on bones at the dog themed library where I worked this week.)
