aaaaand it's "Hospital" after all
Jul. 25th, 2002 12:28 amThe final straw was when he got up to go to the bathroom and then couldn't be bothered to actually return to bed, but simply curled up on the floor. So I called my brother Travis and we got him down to the hospital and checked in for some tests and an overnight stay. Check his medication levels, change his oil, the usual.
If I sound flippant about my father's health, it's because this really is an almost regular occurrence. We did find out he's running a slight fever, which is what laid him low the last time (along with skipping his meds); he must have picked up an infection somehow. We'll go see him tomorrow and he'll be back home in a day or two. Full insurance, so no worries there.
More news when there is some.

Date: 2002-07-25 01:56 am (UTC)I think Travis was a little uncertain about leaving before the tests came back and he was sent up to a room, but there's really nothing more to be done tonight on our end, and we've seen it all before. They have our phone numbers if they need to reach us. God help me, it's pretty much like dropping your dog off at the vet. Perhaps I should go to bed before I think about that too much.
